You've found an amazing lakefront vacation rental 40 feet from the shore of beautiful and pristine Loon Lake. This custom built home was just completed this year and has been tastefully furnished/decorated. There are 3 bedrooms, each with comfortable queen sized beds and views of the lake. There are 2.5 bathrooms. Walk into the open floor plan in one large room with the living room, dining room and kitchen which makes entertaining easy. There is a wall mounted flat screen with Direct TV above the gas fireplace. There is also wireless satellite internet. Right off the kitchen is a large pantry with washer/dryer and a 1/2 bath, both rooms have rustic sliding barn doors. The French doors off the living/dining room lead to a large screened in porch with rustic seating and more great views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Upstairs you'll find the master bedroom, master bath with tub and stand up shower, the tv suite leads through another set of French doors to the balcony overlooking the lake. Downstairs are 2 more private bedrooms with French doors that lead out to the backyard and the lake. There is another full bathroom for these bedrooms. Out in the backyard you'll find a fire pit, grill, the dock and boats to enjoy the lake.
There is so much that can be done right outside the doors! Fishing is excellent, you will catch many small mouth bass, northern pike, perch (good eatin') and a few elusive Large-mouth bass. You can walk or drive a few miles to the north branch of the Saranac River for trout fishing. There are many thousands of miles of hiking and biking trails right outside the door and we are in a great location for day hikes to some of the ADK high peaks and even some not so high peaks. Crusher Mountain is at the end of Mensink Rd (less than a mile), it is a very short hike to the top and there is a great view. If you are a little more adventurous then you can hike Loon Lake Mountains and see the fire tower which is about a 6 mile round trip.
We have patio furniture and ADK chairs in the yard for BBQ's and to just sit around with friends and family. Take a day trip to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid, Tupper Lake (the Wild Center) or even Montreal. There are some great restaurants in town, lots of cool shops and many tourist attractions. Maybe take a trip back in time and ride the rails on the ADK Railroad. The Wild Center is a nature museum which is fun for the whole family and is located about 35 minutes away. Even closer is the Paul Smith's Visitors Interpretive Center which is a great place to see wildlife in nature and learn about the local ecology. We have a TV room with a DVD player and basic satellite reception. I could write for days about all of the things you can do while staying here, but instead I will leave a little to your imagination. One thing that is for certain, you will enjoy your stay! We look forward to hearing from you...
